Set on the rooftop terrace of Hangzhou Yiyang Hotel, these two custom woven bamboo pavilions create a stylish private lounge space for hotel guests. The structure adopts hidden steel and rebar framework to guarantee long-term stability, while the exterior is hand-woven with carbonized bamboo strips in a free, irregular pattern.
The roof system integrates plywood substrate, SBS waterproof layer and asphalt shingles, fully adapted to outdoor rooftop weather conditions. The curved organic silhouette softens the rigid urban rooftop environment, blending natural bamboo texture with modern hotel hospitality design. It demonstrates how bamboo weaving art can be applied to high-end commercial outdoor space.
