Nestled in the mountainous region of Kang County, Longnan, this 30-meter span bamboo arch footbridge is a landmark of sustainable bamboo architecture in China. Completed in June 2025, the bridge stands 5.38m tall and 6.5m wide, designed as a pedestrian covered bridge integrated with local mountain landscape.

The structure adopts traditional bamboo mortise and tenon connection techniques combined with modern structural engineering. Carefully treated bamboo poles serve as the main load-bearing members, delivering excellent strength and natural texture. The built-in warm lighting highlights the elegant curved arch silhouette at dusk, perfectly blending natural eco-material and contemporary construction technology.

This project demonstrates bamboo’s huge potential as a premium, low-carbon building material. It proves that bamboo can be used to build large-scale, durable artistic infrastructure while respecting the natural mountain environment.
